The Dubuque current acting superintendent will serve as interim superintendent

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The current acting superintendent in Dubuque has been selected as the new interim superintendent.

The Dubuque Community School Board appointed Stan Rheingans as the new interim superintendent at a meeting Wednesday night.

The board has been looking to replace former superintendent Larie Godinez since she resigned in May.

The official superintendent job posting will open July 1.

The board will accept applications for about a month and the new superintendent will take over sometime in the fall.
