UPDATE: Man involved in Cedar Rapids accident dies

Cedar Rapids police say a man involved in an accident on 6th Street SW last week, has died.

Sergeant Cristy Hamblin says that 38-year-old Kraig Weber died over the weekend.

Weber was involved in a crash on June 26 at around 9:42 p.m. in the 3400 block of 6th Street SW.

Investigators say that Weber was headed south on 6th Street when he moved into the northbound lanes and collided with a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Madeline Freeze.

Freeze was taken to Mercy Medical Center and treated and released.

No charges have been filed.

Hamblin says that this is the third traffic fatality in 2012.
