Dubuque gets millions to go green

The City of Dubuque was awarded nine-point-four million dollars for a green project.

The multi-million dollar project called the "Bee Branch Watershed Green Infrastructure Project" will convert 40 alleys and two parking lots to pervious pavement.

This is supposed to improve water quality and augment the city's storm water management system and the Bee Branch Creek Restoration Project.

The money came from the state revolving fund, which is a joint program of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Iowa Finance Authority.
