Downed Waterloo tree snaps power lines and blocks road

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A downed tree and live electrical wires shut down two blocks of E Mullan Avenue in Waterloo Monday afternoon.

The tree damaged cars and a fence in the neighborhood between Mulberry and LaFayette Streets just before 2:00 p.m. MidAmerica Energy crews worked to restore power to the area.

The intersection was closed for several hours.
