WAVERLY (KWWL) -

A rural Eldora man has pleaded guilty in a Waverly sexual abuse case.

Bremer County Attorney Kasey Wadding says that 67-year-old Dennis Lee Brown pleaded guilty to one count of third degree sexual abuse on Monday.

Brown, who police say is from rural Eldora and Verona, Virginia, was accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old from Waverly in May of 2011 after the two were communicating on the internet.

Police say they went to Brown's summer residence in Grundy County on July 8, 2011 where he admitted traveling to Waverly and performing a sex act with the victim.

Brown is scheduled to be sentenced on August 20 at 10:00 a.m.
