SWISHER (KWWL) -

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a man found dead on Monday during the investigation into a fire at a Swisher home.

Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek says that crews were called to 1663 Falcon Avenue NW in Swisher at around 11:00 a.m. on Monday for a report of a house fire.

Pulkrabek says a witness went into the home to check on the house and found 71-year-old Daryl Dosch dead inside.  Pulkrabek says the witness also reported that the fire had put itself out.

Pulkrabek says that Dosch was last seen alive at around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Iowa State Fire Marshall says a couch caught on fire, but put itself out.

Pulkrabek says that cause of death has not been determined, but the fire and death are not considered suspicious.

An autopsy will be performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office.
