New commander for Iowa reserve unit

DES MOINES (KWWL) -

An army reserve unit based in Des Moines now has a new commander.

The U.S. Senate has confirmed Colonel Arlan DeBlieck's promotion to brigadier general.

The Indianola native will become commander of the Reserve's 103rd Sustainment Command.

Deblieck has served two tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
