Tama County tubing accident sends one to the hospital

TAMA COUNTY (KWWL) -

 

One person had to be rescued from the Iowa River near Tama after a tubing accident Sunday.

It happened around 3 p.m. about one mile east of the city of Tama along the river.

Authorities say the man was tubing down the river when he went under.

They say some friends pulled him from the river and administered CPR.

He's not being treated at a Marshalltown hospital.

His name and condition have not been released.
