LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

Four people were injured Thursday morning when a driver lost control on Spanish Road in Linn County.

Linn County deputies were called to the accident at around 12:15 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies say that 20-year-old Zachary Adam Cornwell lost control of his car, causing it to roll into the ditch.

Cornwell, 19-year-old Jacob Michael Smith and 18-year-old John James Bucklin, all of Solon, were able to get out of the car on their own.  They were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids with minor injuries.

Anthony James Donovan, 20, also from Solon, was thrown from the vehicle and found about 25-feet from the car.  He was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  He is expected to survive his injuries.  Deputies say he was the only one in the car not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
