Tiffin man dies when motorcycle and SUV collide

A Tiffin man died Wednesday night after his motorcycle collided with an SUV at the intersection of Highway 6 and Main Street in Tiffin.

The Iowa State Patrol says that 23-year-old Elizabeth Sue Colony turned from westbound Highway 6 to southbound Main Street in front of an eastbound motorcycle driven by 20-year-old Ryan Kelly Johnson.

Johnson died as a result of the crash.  His passenger, 21-year-old Hannah Nicole Tedell, was injured and taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Troopers say that Johnson and Tedell were not wearing helmets.

The accident remains under investigation.
