Waterloo man faces multiple burglary charges after two break ins

A Waterloo man faces three burglary charges after two break ins during April in Cedar Falls .

Phillip Hansen, 29, was arrested last week for stealing a vehicle. Cedar Falls police say the stolen car had more stolen property inside it. On June 12, he was charged for operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent and theft in the 2nd degree.

But further investigation has lead to more charges.  On June 20, Hansen was charged with Burglary in the 1st Degree, a Class B Felony, Burglary in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony and one count of Burglary in the 3rd degree, an aggravated misdemeanor. 

These new charges are in connection to residential and vehicle burglaries on April 8 on 1st Street in Cedar Falls and on April 11 on Wedgewood in Cedar Falls.
