Dubuque police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Tuesday night.

Shortly before 11 p.m., a man with a gun walked into Domino's Pizza in the 2000 block of Central Avenue and robbed it.

The suspect then ran away to his apartment in the 2000 block of White Street, less than 400 feet away from the Domino's.

According to Dubuque police, when law enforcement officers arrived at the residence, the suspect and other neighbors came out to ask what was going on. Police took the suspect to the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center for questioning and ultimately determined that he was, in fact, the man for which they were searching.

Police say he is 25-year-old Jacoby Paul Garrett, who lives in Dubuque.

The shift commander on duty Wednesday morning called the apprehension "uneventful." Nobody was injured and Garrett is now in custody. He'll appear Wednesday morning in court.
