Iowa River rescue continues in Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN (KWWL) -

The search will resume for a missing boy who drowned in the Iowa River at Mashalltown Monday Night.

The incident happened at 7:39 p.m. Monday near the North Center Street dam.

First responders arrived as they were told that the boy had gone under the water and was still missing.  K9 units were deployed in an attempt to locate the missing child.

The search was called off at 10:00 P.M. Monday night due to safety concerns.
