No injuries in Allison barn fire

No injuries reported in a barn fire near Allison in Butler County Thursday night.

Strong winds hampered firefighter efforts to save the structure, which was engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Firefighters from Allison and Clarksville responded to the call, but could do little to keep the fire from destroying the barn and lean-to. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to any nearby crops and trees.

Monica Edeker told KWWL News she and her father received a call from a neighbor about the fire on the farm where her family used to house hogs.

She said she believes the property is now vacant. No injuries were reported. Authorities were attempting to contact the owner of the property.
