Cup Champs already looking to repeat

Posted:

The Stanley Cup barely had the Los Angeles Kings' fingerprints on it Monday night before coach Darryl Sutter suggested they should start preparing to win it again.

Most of the Kings' roster is signed for next season, and the few free agents probably could be tied up by general manager Dean Lombardi if he wants the same players to attempt a repeat.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey, 40-year-old Devils goalie Martin Brodeur is hinting that he might return for one more season. He's a free agent.

The Stanley Cup finals' television ratings were down 29 percent from last year.
