Cat blamed for causing motorcycle accident in Robins

A cat is being blamed for causing a motorcycle accident in Robins on Tuesday morning.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says that 19-year-old Kyle Schellhorn of Center Point was headed south on North Center Point Road, near West Main Street in Robins, when a cat ran into the road, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.

Schellhorn was wearing a helmet, but was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
