DES MOINES (KWWL) -

A district judge ruled Monday that Ramona Cunningham's monthly pension of $2700 will be seized to pay down almost $1.65 million her and co-defendants owe in restitution.

In 2008, Cunningham, the former chief executive of the Central Iowa Employment and Training Consortium, was sentenced to 7 years in prison after pleading guilty to several counts of fraud related to the misuse of federal money.

The judge says that 25 percent of Cunningham's pension can be seized for restitution after she is released from prison.

Prosecutors say Cunningham was the ringleader of a plan to misspend millions on bonuses and salaries.
