CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

One man is in the hospital and another facing attempted murder charges after a disagreement between neighbors erupted in gun fire on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids.

Police were called to 2928 29th Avenue SW at around 8:11 p.m. Saturday night for a reported shooting.

When they arrived on scene, they found that Brian Wilson, 39, had been shot in the torso.

Investigators determined that 42-year old Joseph Pham, Wilson's neighbor, had shot Wilson following an argument.  Police say Pham then went back inside his house.  Officers also say that there were other people inside the Wilson home when the shooting happened.

Police set-up a perimeter and called in the Special Response Team.

At about 10:30 p.m., Pham came outside to talk to police.  He was arrested and taken to the Linn County Jail.

Wilson was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, his condition is unknown.

Pham faces three counts of attempted murder and one count of intimidation with a deadly weapon.

Police don't expect to release any more updates until Monday.
