Heat show little fire, Celts take series lead

The Boston Celtics are demonstrating they're not too old to contend.

The NBA's Eastern Conference finals took a stunning turn in their favor last night, putting the Celtics one win away from the NBA Finals.

Boston posted their third straight victory over the Miami Heat, with a 94-90 victory in Miami. It was the first road win for either team in the series, which now stands at 3-2 in Boston's favor.

Kevin Garnett finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Paul Pierce scored 19 and hit a big 3-pointer over LeBron James with just under a minute left.

James finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds for Miami, but went 8 minutes without scoring in the final quarter. Dwyane Wade scored 27 for the Heat, who got no more than nine from anyone else.

Game 6 is Thursday night in Boston, where the Celtics will try to clinch a trip to either Oklahoma City or San Antonio for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
