After a Nevada penalty, the Sailors were awarded a free kick for a chance to put the nail in the coffin, but Bainter again with a brilliant stop.

Nevada put together a few late scoring chances, but Jon Maas kept them out of the net, and the Sailors, for the first time in team history are state champions.

"We came in with a goal, and that was to win state, and that's what we came out with.. It just feels great, so I'm just overwhelmed with joy."

"It feels so wonderful for me in my life. This is the first ime we have championship in my life," said senior Angello Parmaw.

"We knew at the start of the season we had a really really good team, and we felt it was a championship team. And we worked to get down here, and we did it. If I didn't have this plaque, I'd probably think it wasn't real," said coach Don Sullivan.
