CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

More than 200 Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School students took part in the production of a "lip dub" video to show off their school spirit.

The eight minute video took about an hour to shoot and was done as one continuous take from start to finish.

"The creative video is intended to positively promote our students, their involvement in our school, and to highlight the great things that Jefferson High School has to offer," Andrew Eley, facilitator, said in a written statement. "The project, called a "lip dub" takes popular music and showcases a school's academic and co-curricular opportunities in a fun and unique way."

The only editing done was to sync the actual music track to the students who were lip syncing.

"I can personally attest to how much fun and excitement this event generated at school," said Eley. "I am very proud of the work of these students."
