Sweet pleads not guilty plea in murder of grandparents


The teen accused of killing his grandparents in Manchester has pleaded not guilty.

Isaiah Sweet, 17, is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Rick and Janet Sweet.  Sweet is accused of shooting the couple to death on May 11. 
Sweet was scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, but his attorney filed a written plea. 

Sweet's trial is scheduled to begin on August 1.  He will be tried as an adult because of the nature of the crime.
