Spurs rally to beat Thunder late


Experience paid off in the opener of the NBA's Western Conference finals. The San Antonio Spurs showed poise in rallying from nine down to stun the upstart Oklahoma City Thunder 101-98 behind Manu Ginobili's  26 points.

Tony Parker added 18 points and eight rebounds and Tim Duncan chipped in 16 points and 11 boards, as the Spurs won their 19th in a row to tie the NBA record for longest winning streak kept alive in the playoffs.

Kevin Durant led all scorers with 27 for the Thunder.

Game 2 will take place in San Antonio Tuesday night.
