Davenport woman arrested for stealing multiple vehicles

A Davenport woman faces charges, accused of stealing multiple vehicles.  Fayette County Deputies arrested 29-year-old Sarah Jay after a report of a stolen vehicle in Maynard.  The stolen car was reported just before midnight Monday.

Authorities say Jay entered a home, got keys, and stole a 2004 Dodge Stratus.  Another vehicle found next to the residence was reported stolen out of Bremer County.

About three hours later, Independence police found the stolen Dodge Stratus and arrested Jay.  She's charged with 2nd degree burglary, a class C felony, and 2nd degree theft, a class D felony, in Fayette County. 

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says Jay will also face charges in other counties for stealing vehicles & stealing items in vehicles.
