Heat blast Pacers in Miami

Posted:

The Miami Heat are a victory away from the NBA's Eastern Conference finals following a near-perfect performance against the short-handed Indiana Pacers.

Lebron James poured in 30 points and Dwyane Wade added 28 as the Heat blasted the Pacers 115-83 to take a 3-2 lead in the conference semifinals. James also had 10 rebounds and eight assists for Miami, which shot a postseason franchise-record 61 percent in a wire-to-wire victory.

The game turned after Danny Granger left the game with a sprained left ankle in the third quarter. The Pacers trailed by 11 at the time of the injury and were outscored by 21 the rest of the way.

Indiana also finished the game without David West due to what the team was calling a left knee sprain.

Paul George led the Pacers with just 11 points as they shot just 34 percent and were out rebounded 49-35.

Game 6 is in Indianapolis on Thursday.
