Iowa delegation to visit China

Governor Terry Branstad says he will lead a group of Iowans to China at the request of the Chinese Vice President.

The trip is planned for May 29 through June 5. Stops will include the Great Wall and a reunion banquet with Vice President Xi Jinping.

Xi Jinping, who is expected to become China's next president, was in Iowa in February on a 27-year reunion tour with Iowa farmers. 15 of those farmers will accompany Branstad on the trip.

Officials say the Iowa Economic Development Authority will hold meetings in China to promote trade with Iowa.
