Two Waterloo teenagers face serious weapons charges


Waterloo Police arrested two teenagers following a report of shots fired Thursday night.

Waterloo Police officers were called to the 900 block of Cutler Street at 7:54 p.m. Thursday. They seized three sawed-off shotguns and two rifles. All five of the weapons were stolen from several burglaries, authorities said.

Jalen Jahal Gary, 16, faces charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, going armed with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, carrying weapons and trafficking stolen weapons. Maryo Lindsey, Jr., 17, could be charged with five counts of trafficking stolen weapons and three counts of possession of an offensive weapon. Both teenagers face will be charged as adults and were taken to the Black Hawk County Jail.
