Cedar Valley Heart Walk Saturday morning at George Wyth State Park

Someone will win an IPad 2 at Saturday's American Heart Association's Cedar Valley Heart Walk.

The walk will take place again this year at Black Hawk County's George Wyth State Park. This year's Cedar Valley Heart Walk goal is a lofty $ 132,000. Registration will begin around 8:00 am Saturday at the park. The walk will begin at 9:00 am.

This is a family-friendly event, with numerous family-oriented activities taking place before and after the walk.

As always, you'll be able to recognize heart disease survivors; they'll be wearing red hats. Top walkers, those who raise more than $ 500.00, will be recognized, as well as the top teams.

Allen Health System is the local Presenting Sponsor again this year. The Regional Sponsor is the University of Iowa Heart and Vascular Center.

Special guest this year will be four-year old heart disease survivor, Song Hahn. Song will be there with her family and will lead this year's Cedar Valley Heart Walk.
