Oelwein woman charged with child endangerment

OELWEIN (KWWL) -

An Oelwein woman faces a child endangerment charge after officials say she left her child alone with a sex offender.

The Fayette County Sheriff's office filed charges against 28-year-old Nicole Brackin. Officials say Brackin would leave her eight-year-old child alone with a offender when she would stay overnight at the home of a registered sex offender.

Under Iowa law, a parent commits child endangerment when they knowingly leave their child with a person on the sex offender registry.
