Two hurt in accident north of Dunkerton

DUNKERTON (KWWL) -

Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after an accident just north of Dunkerton.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says 41-year old Denise Sommerfelt of Dunkerton was trying to make a left hand turn from North Canfield Road onto Circle Drive when she was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 29-year old Nathan Dvorak of Fairbank.

Dvorak was taken to Allen Hospital, Sommerfelt was taken to Covenant Medical Center.  None of the injuries are considered serious.

Sommerfelt was ticketed for failure to yield upon making a left hand turn.
