Iowa crops ahead of schedule

Iowa farmers have taken advantage of the warm weather to get a jump start on planting their crops, according to Monday's crop report.

Ninety percent of farmers' corn crop is already planted. This compared to the five year average which is 79 percent.

Soy beans are seeing significant growth as well according to the report. Thirty-nine percent of soy beans are planted. That's better than the average which is 30 percent.
