Black Hawks take game 1 from Green Bay, 2-1

Two goals were enough Saturday night as Waterloo stole back home ice advantage in the Clark Cup Finals with a 2-1 game 1 victory over Green Bay.

The Black Hawks didn't take much time to gain the advantage when Mitch Witek fired the puck through traffic for a goal just 1:47 into the game.  Stephon Williams put together another great performance holding on to that 1-0 lead all the way into the third period.

That's when Waterloo added some insurance with Mark Neclario scoring for the 2-0 edge.  It turned out to be the game winning goal after Green Bay's Kyle Novak scored the Gamblers lone goal with 5 minutes remaining.

Game 2 in the best of 5 series is set for 5:05 on Sunday.  The series will return to Waterloo for game 3 on Friday.
