Another concussion suit filed against NFL

More than 60 former National Football League players have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles, joining hundreds of others who claim pro football didn't properly protect its players from concussions.

The lead plaintiff is Hall of Famer Art Monk, who played wide receiver for the Washington Redskins from 1980 to 1993. Monk says he suffered multiple concussions that are causing continuing problems to this day.

Across the country, more than 1,000 former NFL player are suing the league. The cases claim not enough was done to inform players about the dangers of concussions in the past. The suits also say the league isn't doing enough today to take care of former players coping with the long-term impact of concussions.

The NFL says any allegation that the league intentionally tried to mislead players has no merit.
