Cedar Rapids man arrested after report of shots fired

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A man faces charges after police say he fired shots in a Cedar Rapids neighborhood.

Cedar Rapids police were called to the 1400 block of 4th Avenue SE around 3:00 a.m. Monday for a report of shots fired.  A short time later, a man matching the description of the suspect was spotted by officers in the 100 block of 15th Street SE.  Officer say the suspect tried to run away.

Timothy Rush, 22, is charged with Possession of an Offensive Weapon, Public Intoxication and Interference with Official acts.

No injuries or property damage were reported.
