CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
All of the state universities may be seeing increase in funding this year.
Friday a conference committee, made up of both Iowa House and Senate leaders, passed a bill proposing more funding to higher education in the state.
The bill that would increase general aide to by 8.5 percent from the 2012 fiscal year to the 2013 fiscal year-that adds an extra $6.3 million for UNI's general fund.
Under the proposal, Iowa State University and the University of Iowa would both receive a 3.2 percent increase for their general fund- that's a $5.2 million dollar increase for ISU, and a $6.3 million dollar increase for Iowa.
