NEW HAMPTON (KWWL) -

Chickasaw County rescue and fire crews have found the 14 year old boy that went missing at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

After about a six hour search, fire crews on the scene said Ronnie Liddle was found about 12:15 a.m. Monday on County Highway B57 about a mile west from his home. He lives at 1940 220th Street in New Hampton.

Lieutenant Todd Miller with the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department said Liddle was found dazed wet, cold and scared. An ambulance took him to the hospital to be check out, but family members said they expect he is in good condition.

Liddle left his home about three miles west of New Hampton in rural Chickasaw County Sunday afternoon and was not dressed for the cold. Authorities said Liddle may be slightly mentally handicapped.

Liddle's family said they don't know why he would have walked off. The Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department said no foul play or unusual circumstances are suspected and the investigation remains open.
