Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity seeks families for new homes

Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity has built more than 100 homes in recent years for deserving Cedar Valley families.

The ‘Build' schedule is set for 2012, but now, the non-profit organization is seeking qualified applicants for its 2013 construction schedule.

Habitat builds new homes, which are sold to qualifying applicants at ‘zero' per cent interest with affordable monthly payments. Habitat says is always looking for hardworking, modest income families to qualify for a Habitat home.

Iowa Heartland Habitat focuses on home ownership as a solution to affordable housing. By offering interest mortgages and having qualified families participate in the ‘Build' process with ‘sweat' equity as their down payment, Habitat is able to offer home ownership opportunities to families who might not otherwise qualify for a mortgage.

To see if you qualify for a Iowa Heartland Habitat home, submit an application to Iowa heartland Habitat for Humanity at 803 West 5th St. Waterloo, Iowa, 50702.

Be sure to include at least three month's income verification. Applications can also be picked up at the Habitat office Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or at:
