The Iowa Speedway announced on Wednesday 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, Kurt Busch, will race in the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Sunday, May 20.
Busch will drive the number 54 car owned by his brother's team, Kyle Busch Motorsports.
"Iowa Speedway was a lot of fun when I had a test session a few years ago, so I know the side-by-side racing action will be competitive for the drivers and entertaining for the fans," said Busch in a written statement. "Iowa has tremendous fan support and has had some very exciting finishes in the past; I am happy I get to be a part of it this year."
Busch will battle against drivers like Danica Patrick, Elliott Sadler, Sam Hornish Jr., Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and others for the first gas pump trophy of the year.
