Black Hawks defeat Omaha 4-2, even series at 1-1

Posted:

Waterloo took down Omaha 4-2 Saturday night evening their best of 5 series at 1-1.

The Black Hawks opened the scoring in the first period on a Mark Naclerio slap shot beating the goaltender on the stick side.  Omaha, however, would knot things back on Casey Bailey's goal early in the second.

The two teams traded goals again as things would stay knotted until late in the 3rd.  Tyler Zapeda would break the tie scoring with 4:34 remaining to give Waterloo the 3-2 lead.  Mike Huntebrinker shut the door late with an empty net goal.

The series returns to Waterloo on Friday and Saturday for games 3 and 4.
