Wrestling fans enjoy fan fest in Iowa City

A big weekend in Iowa City for the sport of wrestling - where thousands of people are taking in the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

While some people were at the Olympic Wrestling Trials, others wanted to give a wrestlers work out a try for themselves.

Crowds gathered in downtown Iowa City at the ASICS Fan Fest to watch and take part in some fun events.

There was a 20 foot rope climb.

There was also a chance to scale a pegboard wall, and a race against a machine to challenge reaction time.

There was even a wrestling coach to offers pointers to kids.

"You're testing some of your skills that wrestlers actually train and can go through. So it's a great 'stop at never' fun exercise," said ASICS CEO Kevin Wulff.

ASICS is also teaming up with USA Wrestling to outfit a high school wrestling team with donations from each of this weekend's events.
