CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Two people were injured Thursday morning after a stabbing in Cedar Rapids.

Police say Briden Houke, 20, of Victor, went to a home in the 400 block of Jacolyn Drive SW around 3:00 a.m. to speak with someone inside. Jason Taggart, 37, opened the door of the home, but would not let Houke inside.

The two fought. Houke was treated at hospital for a slash wound. Taggart was treated for injuries to his face and ribs from a tire iron. Both are expected to recover.

Officials say they are still investigating. No arrests have been made.
