WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Mothers dealing with depression may be more likely to wake their babies during the night, according to a new study.

Penn State researchers found women with depression were more inclined to excessively worry about their infants at night. They say the mothers were more likely to check on the babies at night multiple times. This caused an increase in night waking among these babies, even when they weren't in need of parental help or were sound asleep.
