Fiedorowicz emerges for Iowa

As spring football rolled on, several Iowa players moved out of the shadows into prominent roles,

but apparently none more so than tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz.  Fiedorowicz has been all the talk in Iowa City.

Last season, the Iowa junior made 14 of his 16 receptions in the latter part of last season.  That improvement hasn't stopped.

Everyone in the Hawkeye's locker room says he's on an entirely new level this spring, and they expect him to make a big impact this fall.

"He's a big guy that can really body up guys, he can run," said Iowa quarterback James Vandenberg, "He's a really deadly guy in the red zone because of his size and his jumping ability.  The way we always talk about him is that if he's guarded, he's not really guarded, so there's usually a shoulder to find on him and he's going to continue to grow in this offense."

"It's a big role in the Iowa offense the last couple years, said Fiedorowicz, "We've been on a little drought, but guys like Dallas Clark, you always look up to them.  The tight ends are really moving along really well this spring.  Everyone's catching the ball, blocking well.  I think the tight ends are going to be a big part of the offense this year."
