The City of Dubuque Health Services Department is looking for information on a dog that bit a girl Tuesday.

In a media release, officials describe the dog as a white, medium-sized adult pit bull with floppy ears. They say it has fist-sized tan patches on its head.

The dog bit a 16-year-old girl at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of the alley between Main and Iowa streets.

The Health Department is seeking information on the dog's health status and vaccination history.

Health officials ask anyone with information to contact the Health Services Department at 563-589-4185 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or the Law Enforcement Center after hours or on the weekend at 563-589-4415.
