Lady Bears eye perfect season

DENVER, Colo. (KWWL) -

Baylor is poised to win its second national title and become the first team in NCAA history to get 40 wins.

Standing in the Lady Bears' way, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The teams meet Tuesday night in Denver for the national championship.

Baylor is 39-0 and loaded with talent including 6-foot-8 dunking center Brittney Griner, the AP Player of the Year.

Skylar Diggins, an AP All-American, leads Notre Dame which lost to Texas A&M in last year's national title game. The Irish come in at 35-3.

With a victory tonight, Baylor would become the seventh team to run through a season unbeaten, joining Connecticut -- which has done it four times, Tennessee and Texas.

Baylor also won the NCAA crown in 2005.
