ABATE District 16 to sponsor Motorcycle Awareness ride May 12

ABATE of Iowa, District 16, a non-profit motorcycle safety and awareness organization, will sponsor a Motorcycle Awareness Ride, Saturday, May 12.

The event will begin with day-of registration, at 11:00 am in the parking lot of the Black Hawk County Courthouse. Then, the ABATE Motorcycle Awareness Ride will get underway at noon, with officers from local law enforcement escorting the riders.

The ride will travel from Waterloo through the cities of Evansdale and Cedar Falls, ending up at Silver Eagle Harley Davidson, where a free lunch will be served to riders.

This annual Motorcycle Awareness Ride, sponsored by ABATE of Iowa, District 16, is one of the largest in Iowa and will likely attract some 500 participants.   

All licensed motorcyclists and all makes of motorcycles are invited to take part in the ride May 12.
