The Cedar Rapids Police Department says they have made two arrests in the February robbery of the Days Inn on Blairs Ferry Road.

Police say two men walked into and robbed the Days Inn at 2215 Blairs Ferry Road on February 14.

After releasing surveillance video of the two suspects, police received numerous calls identifying the two men.

Police arrested Johnnie Keys Jurmarris Phillips, 30, of Waterloo.  He is charged with first degree robbery.

An arrest warrant for first degree robbery was served to Marcus Deshawn Gamblin, 27, at the Black Hawk County Jail.  He was arrested by Waterloo police on March 1 on a separate charge of first degree robbery.

Gamblin was arrested on March 1 following a robbery at the Neighborhood Mart at 2100 Lafayette Street in Waterloo. Police say Gamblin went into the store and threatened the clerk with a gun.  Gamblin and his lookout, Willie Traymore Phillips, left the store without any money and were found a short time later.

Gamblin is charged with first degree robbery and possession of a firearm as a felon in that case.  Willie Traymore Phillips is charged with first degree robbery.
