ANAMOSA (KWWL) -

Anamosa police say they discovered a meth lab after they helped get a person to the emergency room who had been shocked.

Just before 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, an Anamosa officer came across a woman who was trying to get a man to Jones Regional Medical Center.  Police later learned that the man had been shocked.

The officer then went to check on the home at 204 Huber Street in Anamosa and found smoke coming from upstairs windows.  The officer called the Anamosa Fire Department, who later called in the Monticello Fire Department for assistance.

Firefighters say they found materials commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The man who had been burned, Michael Clark of Anamosa, was later airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to be treated for burns.

The State Fire Marshall's Office, Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Anamosa Police Department continue to investigate this case.
