Hawks' top tailback suffers spring injury

It appears the Iowa Hawkeyes continue to have some misfortune at the runningback position. Yesterday--the top tailback on the depth chart, Jordan Canzeri suffered some kind of knee injury during the Hawks' first spring practice in pads.

Wednesday, Iowa runningbacks coach Lester Erb gave this analysis of his sophomore tailback.

"Jordan was hampered with some injuries last year so we didn't get him as much work as we would have like last year..but he's added some weight he's a little bit bigger than he was last year..He did a good job in that bowl game i think what he demonstrated in that bowl game with 22 carries--He demonstrated a little durability for being not the biggest back out there--but he's got to improve on some things--(like) pass protection!"

Damon Bullock was listed number two on the depth chart with Deandre Johnson number three.
