Kinetic King attempts world record

There's been something of an unusual attempt at a world record in Eastern Iowa over the weekend.

Tim Fort, also known as the "Kinetic King," detonated a stick bomb using 750 elements. These included things like rulers and rubber bands.

His previous record, which was on NBC's America's Got Talent, was using 600 of these elements.

It's a winding journey, but in the end, he was able to pull through and break his own record.

He calls this device the "clever lever" and wants Guinness to recognize this as a new category for its world records

"My big goal was to start a new world record category for the clever lever device, which is a device that is more explosive then the stick bomb, which I also kinda-sorta invented. And I was successful I did a gadget with 728 elements and they all exploded," Tim Fort, Kinetic King, said.

Hundreds of people turned out to see the explosion. They said they were just glad to be a part of it.
